Bahareh Memarian is a couturier based in Vancouver. She studied architecture at the Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus and got her building engineering certificate from British Columbia Institute of Technology. Realizing it was not the right career path for her, Memarian’s love of fashion won her over and she started the fashion design program at the Art Institute of Vancouver and graduated having achieved the President’s Honour Roll, the Best of Portfolio Show Award and the Most Outstanding collection Award at the Atelier Fashion Show. Memarian’s first cruelty-free couture collection ”Extinct” has been featured on the New York Fashion Week runway, Vancouver Fashion Week and Little Black Dress Gala. Memarian represented Canada at the World Fashion Week 2017 hosted by the city of Kuala Lumpur- Malaysia, with one of a kind pieces exhibited in the World Fashion Week EXPO and her new exquisite cruelty-free collection, In the Middle of a Dream, made of faux fur, lace and beaded mesh. What inspires Memarian is the old hollywood glamour as well as the romantic paintings of women of all eras. She designs to create powerful, sultry, sensational and painting-like images of women, like those in romantic paintings that make their audience contemplate. Bahareh is recognizable by her splendid designs made of sumptuous laces, dazzling beads and incomparable high quality luxurious faux fur.
